Terms of use
These terms apply to the use of the Buksi mobile app (the “app”), provided by [NÉV / CÉGNÉV], sole proprietor ([SZÉKHELY], tax number: [ADÓSZÁM], e-mail: hello@buksiapp.com).
1. What the app does
The check-in person and the watcher connect with a 6-digit code valid for 24 hours, or a QR code. The check-in person taps a button by a set time to show they are OK. If they don't within the deadline and grace period, watchers get a notification (push and e-mail). There are also help requests, “Call me” requests, messages and other features. Free and Premium features are listed in the app and on this website.
2. Limitations
Delivery of notifications depends on phones, the internet, mobile networks, Google services and phone settings (e.g. battery saver, Do Not Disturb). We do our best to make the service reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every notification always arrives on time. The app does not monitor health and cannot tell whether something has happened.
3. Account and use
- Only people aged 18 or over may create a watcher account.
- Only pair a check-in person with their knowledge and agreement; for under-16s the parent or guardian decides.
- Using the app to secretly monitor or harass someone, or for any unlawful purpose, is prohibited.
4. Premium subscription
- Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription belonging to the watcher, purchased through Google Play. The current price is shown in Google Play before purchase.
- New subscribers may get a 1-month free trial. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
- The subscription renews automatically until cancelled in Google Play; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds follow Google Play's policies.
- A Premium watcher can watch up to 5 people and invite up to 4 more family members for each, who also see Premium features for that person.
- When a subscription ends, existing connections and alerts remain; Premium features are locked and no new people can be added.
5. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from a notification not arriving or arriving late, a phone or network failure, or use of the app other than as described. This does not limit liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or for injury to life, body or health, and does not affect statutory consumer rights.
6. Intellectual property
The Buksi name, the paw logo, the Buksi character and voice, and all parts of the app belong to the provider. The app is for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (how). We may suspend or terminate an account for serious breach of these terms and will notify you by e-mail.
8. Complaints and governing law
Write to hello@buksiapp.com; we reply within 30 days. These terms are governed by Hungarian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
9. Changes
We will announce material changes at least 15 days in advance in the app and on this page.
